I am a licensed Naturopathic Doctor with nearly twenty years of clinical practice experience and have a special interest in women’s health. I have extensive knowledge in many areas of women’s health including hormone balancing, pms, menopause and perimenopause, breast tenderness, infertility, adrenal imbalance, digestive problems, skin problems, weight management, fatigue, poor sleep, and anxiety.
I attended Saint Francis Xavier University, in Antigonish Nova Scotia, where I obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree in 1993. After practicing as a nurse for three years I decided to pursue my passion for naturopathic medicine by attending the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto, Ontario. In 2000, I graduated from the four year program of Naturopathic Medicine and passed North American board exams to become a licensed naturopathic doctor.
I was fortunate in 2000 to be able to move back to the Maritimes to establish my practice. I conducted a successful family practice with a special focus in women’s health, in Saint John and Rothesay, NB for 12 years. I was a member and past president of the New Brunswick Association of Naturopathic Doctors. I have also been a member of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND) and I am currently a member.
In the summer of 2013, I relocated to Halifax, Nova Scotia with my family. I am a member of the Nova Scotia Association of Naturopathic Doctors (NSAND) and the Association of Perinatal Naturopathic Doctors (APND).
